Alert Hamilton County Malfunction

March 30th, 2018 Emily Lakamp

On the evening of March 30, at 2320 hrs., the National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH issued a Flood Warning for the Great Miami River in western Hamilton County. Due to a malfunction in our new mass notification tool, Alert Hamilton County (Alert HC), the Flood Warning was erroneously disseminated to residents within Hamilton County that were not the intended recipients.  We are working with our mass notification vendor to identify why the malfunction occurred and to ensure it does not occur again.  We apologize for any confusion this may have caused residents of Hamilton County.
