August 2020 Siren Test
The Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (EMHSA) will be conducting the regular test of the Outdoor Warning Siren System on August 5th, 2020 at 12:00pm. The outdoor warning sirens in Hamilton County are tested the first Wednesday of each month at noon unless inclement weather is imminent.
As a reminder, the Hamilton County Outdoor Warning Siren System is undergoing an upgrade process that may cause the public to temporarily hear occasional and brief siren soundings during non-test days.
It is important for members of the public to remember that the Outdoor Warning are not meant to be heard indoors. Hamilton County residents should have multiple ways to be notified of severe weather alerts, including having a NOAA Weather Radio and downloading trustworthy weather apps.
