Regional Emergency Partners Gather for Safety Summit

The Southwest Ohio Emergency Management Agencies have joined together in a collaborative effort to offer a Regional Safety Summit on November 3, 2017 for emergency partners to learn about a variety of pressing current issues. This highly-anticipated educational seminar has achieved maximum capacity registration numbers, and will allow partners from across the Southwest Ohio region to come together and glean knowledge from a cache of experienced speakers.

Topics of discussion at the Regional Safety Summit will include: Compassion Fatigue as related to Heroin,
Business Continuity, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Systems and Uses for Emergency Responders, a
Guide to Gas Pipelines, National Weather Service Damage Assessment, the Use of Social Media During
Disasters, and Designing and Implementing Emergency Exercises to test the knowledge, skills, and
abilities of emergency partners prior to a disaster.

The keynote address of this event will focus on the experiences of four local emergency partners who
were recently deployed to assist in the Hurricanes Harvey and Irma disaster response.
